The 4×4 floppy is the big stick of light control. Closed, it's a solid that takes the 1200x or the sun off your talent; unfold the top hinge and it becomes a 4×8 wall of black — enough to wrap an actor in negative fill or kill the bounce off a white building across the street. On interiors, two floppies build an instant corridor of contrast around your key.

We rent them as a pair because they work in pairs: one cutting the source, one shaping the fill side. Each wants a C-stand or combo with a real bag on it — 4×8 of fabric is a sail in any breeze. Add our scrim-and-flag kit for the smaller cuts and you've got the full light-shaping arsenal. Black is a lighting tool; this is the big one.
